Introducing CidToClaude

by the CidTools team

If you use Claude Code regularly, this will sound familiar: you're three projects deep, and you've got a pile of terminal windows open just to keep track of which session is still running, what you actually told the agent twenty minutes ago, and which terminal has been quietly waiting on you to answer a question this whole time.

That's the exact problem we kept running into ourselves, and it's why we built CidToClaude — a multi-project workspace that sits alongside Claude Code instead of replacing any part of it.

What it does

CidToClaude organizes your work into groups and projects, and gives each project as many parallel Claude Code terminals as you need — running, idle, or waiting on you, at a glance. Everything you send to any terminal is logged automatically, so prompt history and per-project notes are always a click away, and one search box reaches across all of it, across every project. When something finishes or needs your input, you get a notification instead of having to click back through every tab to check.

It doesn't fork Claude Code, doesn't wrap it in a heavier interface, and doesn't change how you already invoke it. It launches the CLI you already have installed and gives you a proper workspace to run it from.

Why we built it this way

The early internal versions tried to be clever about it — auto-arranging windows, guessing which project you meant based on your last command. All of that got ripped out. What actually helped was the boring stuff: a project tree that doesn't move around on you, tabs that stay where you left them, and a status icon that changes the moment a terminal actually needs you, instead of a spinner that just tells you something is "busy."

That's most of what 1.0 is: the boring, reliable parts done properly, with nothing clever standing between you and the terminal.

What's in this release

Version 1.0 covers the core workspace: project/group organization, parallel terminals, full prompt history, cross-project search, and notifications. Scheduled prompts — including runs that fire even while the app is closed — are already on the list for the next update, driven by whatever early users report back.

CidToClaude is available now with a free trial, no account required. If you're juggling Claude Code sessions across more than one project, it's worth five minutes to see if it earns a permanent spot in your workflow.

Where it's headed

We're not sitting on this for long. The scheduled-prompts work mentioned above is further along than "on the list" makes it sound — 1.1 already has a release date. If you hit something rough in the meantime, the contact page reaches us directly, not a ticket queue.
